Serbian Development Agency chief Rados Gazdic said on Wednesday that Japanese investments reached the level of 200 million Euro over the past 12 years.
He told the Serbia-Japan business forum at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) that Japanese investment rose by more than 108 million Euro in 2021. According to him, Japanese companies have set up production facilities and expanded their operations in Serbia bringing investments, know-how and high tech.
Japan’s Ambassador in Belgrade Takahiko Katsumata said that a lot of Japanese companies are interested in developing their operations. He voiced hope that the forum would provide cooperation opportunities. The ambassador said that his government supports the development of economic relations as well as regional cooperation with companies in the Western Balkans.
