Journalist: Name one criminal that's not member of Serbia's SNS party
Zig.info journalist Milan Jovanovic, whose house was set on fire four years ago and the trial against the accused perpetrators has been ongoing since then, told N1 that there is an obvious obstruction at work and that he would be satisfied with any verdict, "even if the perpetrators would be released, just let them terminate that court proceeding.”
“Let them say 'everything is allowed to Serbia Progressive Party (SNS) members - they can burn, kill, beat, they are protected by law', and that the citizens of this country should be aware that justice in our country is selective and that the police are powerless because those people started attacking them as well,” he told N1 on Sunday.
"Name one criminal in this country who does not have an SNS membership card, there is no such person, obviously the SNS membership card protects them from the law," says Jovanovic.
The fourth attempt to start a retrial for the attack on journalist Milan Jovanovic and the burning of his house failed. According to the Association of Journalists (NUNS), the hearing was postponed on Friday due to the merging of two court proceedings again into one court case.
"This is the 36-37th hearing, we have been dragging ourselves from courtroom to courtroom for four years," Jovanovic told N1.
