According to Zorana Bakovic, there is a real danger that a conflict could develop between the United States and China, which would have far-reaching consequences for Europe. Pročitaj više

Bakovic argued that the West should have started solving its dependence on energy from Russia and the Middle East, but also on goods from China long ago.

„Russia and China have been present in Europe for a long time, China with its money, and Russia with its destructive force, no European country needs either of them,“ Bakovic said.

„World War III will not break out on European soil, but on Asian soil,“ she stressed.

She commented on the fact that gas from Qatar is considered politically acceptable by the West but that this is not the case for gas from Russia, arguing that „we always talk about some kind of hypocrisy, the question is how ready we are to give up that dependence and how much time will pass in the period ultra-hypocrisy, because we will vote on resolutions on Russian coal, oil, and soon there will be resolutions on gas, and in fact, no one is ready for that.”

In her interview for N1, Bakovic compared the Western Balkans, the part of Europe that is not yet within the EU, and Southeast and South Asia, a region that is trying to avoid belonging to any bloc. She gave the example of Serbia, which does not want to introduce sanctions and “does not want to side with none of the three great powers – neither China, nor Russia, nor the United States.”

„In Asia, it seems possible because there is a great gravitational force – China. In Europe, this notion cannot survive – independence is impossible,“ Bakovic said.
