Serbia’s Justice Minister Maja Popovic on Thursday presented the Draft Law on the Judicial Academy to a delegation of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, commonly known as the Venice Commission.

During an online meeting, the minister briefed the Venice Commission delegation on the results of the working group’s efforts, the process of drafting the law, and the proposed legal solutions aimed at improving the work of the Judicial Academy.

“The meeting highlighted the exceptional importance of the expert assistance provided by this Council of Europe advisory body in the process of harmonizing Serbia’s legal system with international standards,” said a press release issued by the Ministry of Justice.
