On Wednesday, Kenya officially recognized Kosovo’s independence.

In a post on Facebook, Kosovo politician Behgjet Pacolli said that since 2009, he has personally lobbied and engaged with Kenyan authorities to make this day a reality.

“This recognition is not just a declaration – it is a great victory for the state of Kosovo, it is the voice of our freedom that ressonates deep in the heart of Africa,” Pacolli wrote.
