Major General Enrico Barduani, Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, hosted on Wednesday ambassadors and heads of missions from the 29 allied and partner countries contributing troops to KFOR, at KFOR Headquarters.

The discussion focused on a range of topics, including the security situation and KFOR’s current activities and cooperation with the International Community, KFOR said.

“I put great emphasis on unity of effort and unity of purpose, so that together we can contribute to lasting security across Kosovo and to regional security,” said KFOR Commander Barduani.

In a brief media release, KFOR provided no additional details but, as always, emphasized that KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially.

It added that KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responders.
