KFOR said that its troops will conduct a joint exercise with EULEX and the Kosovo Police on May 7.

A press release said that the Golden Sabre 2024 exercise would be staged at Camp Vrelo to test the ability to implement joint crisis management procedures in different security scenarios involving a significant number of personnel, vehicles and assets operating across the exercise area, as well as in its surroundings and along the neighbouring main routes.

“Golden Sabre 2024 is a reflection of our long-standing cooperation and commitment to support lasting security across Kosovo, for the benefit of all communities,” it said.

The press release quoted KFOR Commander Major General Ozkan Ulutas as saying that “the joint exercise symbolizes our strong commitment to peace and stability in Kosovo”. “By uniting our strengths and capabilities, we demonstrate our readiness to address challenges and our dedication to safeguarding regional stability. We look forward to the successful completion of this exercise and the continued cooperation amongst all involved,” he said.
