KFOR fights fires in Kosovo and Albania

“US Aviation from Regional Command East of the NATO-led Kosovo Force assisted today in dousing wildfires in Albania and Kosovo,” a press release said.

It added that the US units deployed three helicopters with water buckets. “Two of them have flown to Albania, and one to Babaj Boke/ Babaj Boks, a Kosovar village near Gjakova/Dakovica, in order to neutralize the risk of extension of the fires,” it added.

The press release aid that KFOR assets continued to provide their assistance until the fire hazard was eliminated.
