KFOR Commander Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia discussed Thursday with Serb List leader Goran Rakic and mayors of the four Serb-dominated municipalities of northern Kosovo the overall situation and the security aspects in northern Kosovo.
Ristuccia informed them of KFOR’s activities aimed at preventing any future escalation, said KFOR.
The KFOR Commander assured Rakic and the mayors that KFOR is carefully monitoring the situation, especially in northern Kosovo, and that it is focused on the implementation of its UN SC Resolution 1244 mandate, to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all in Kosovo.
General Ristuccia called on all parties to avoid unilateral actions, to refrain from any kind of violence and to participate constructively in the dialogue, said KFOR.
