Kos: Serbian civil society representatives subjected to smear campaigns, personal attacks

“Over the past days, many Serbian civil society representatives have been subjected to smear campaigns and personal attacks,” Kos wrote in a post on X.

She emphasized that a strong civil society and engaged citizens are an asset to every democracy and essential to a successful European Union (EU) enlargement process.

“They deserve respect and the freedom to speak without intimidation or attempts to delegitimize their work,” Kos said.
