Kosovars renouncing citizenship, says Kosovo TV station

“From January 1 to September 30 this year 3,399 persons were released from the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo,” the Ministry said in its reply to klankosova.tv, KoSSev reported.

The Ministry also confirmed for klankosova.tv that there is a problem with the supply of materials for passports.

“Due to the global crisis as well as the covid-19 pandemic, the supply of material is difficult. Like many other countries, we are also experiencing problems with this,” said the Ministry.

Klankosova.tv reported that 4,600 Kosovo citizens relinquished their citizenship in 2021.
