Nacionale said it suspended photographer Albion Selitaj for assaulting Serb Democracy official Aleksandar Arsenijevic at the Gazimestan memorial where Kosovo Serbs gather every year on the anniversary of the 1389 Battle of Kosovo against the Ottoman army.

Arsenijevic filed charges with the police following the assault. He told reporters that Selitaj approached him with his camera, told him to go back to Serbia and scratched his face.

Serbian-language Radio KiM said that Selitaj was suspended the same day, right after the incident. “The photographer was suspended pending a court ruling as soon as we learned of the indicent,” Nactionale said.
