Kosovo amends decision, bans only Serbian goods

Until Wednesday all trucks with Serbian license plates, regardless of the origin of the products they were carrying, were not allowed into Kosovo, which was a security measure introduced after the Serbian Police arrested three Kosovo police officers on June 14.

The Kosovo institutions have now allowed the entry of vehicles with Serbia-issued license plates into Kosovo “provided that they do not carry cargo originating from Serbia for security reasons.”

The Kosovo Government adopted the decision on banning the entry of trucks with Serbian license plates into Kosovo the day when, as they claim, three Kosovo policemen were “kidnapped,” while the Serbian side said they were arrested in the territory of Serbia proper, several kilometers from the administrative boundary line.
