Kosovo Justice Minister says millions from prison rental

An agreement was signed earlier this week to rent 300 jail cells in Kosovo for inmates sentenced in Denmark who will be returned to their country of origin after serving their sentence. The Danish Justice Ministry will pay 15 million Euro a year for the next five years, Haxhiu told reporters, adding that the agreement can be extended for another five years.

According to the minister, Kosovo will earn a total of 210 million Euro from the agreement most of which will be invested in renewable energy sources, as well as training for its prison authorities.
