The Self-Determination Movement (Vetëvendosje) launched its campaign with a rally in Gjakova. Agon Batusha, head of the Gjakova branch, stated that their party doesn’t compete with others but focuses on justice and prosperity for all of Kosovo. Party vice-president Glauk Konjufca emphasized that while other parties have divided Kosovo over the past 20 years, Vetëvendosje aims to unite it.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) started its campaign in Pristina’s „1 Tetori“ hall. PDK leader Memli Krasniqi urged voters to support Bedri Hamza as their candidate for prime minister, promising a comprehensive plan for improving citizens’ quality of life. Krasniqi also acknowledged former party leaders Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli, currently in The Hague on war crimes charges.

Hamza outlined his vision for economic development, pledging to create jobs, increase wages, and provide better financial support for businesses. He also promised a 50% raise in public sector salaries, a 70% increase in basic pensions, and higher benefits for Kosovo Liberation Army veterans.

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) launched its campaign at the Youth and Sports Center in Pristina, drawing a large crowd. LDK’s candidate for prime minister, Lumir Abdixhiku, described the campaign as the beginning of a new chapter for Kosovo and paid tribute to party founder Ibrahim Rugova, whose legacy of freedom and democracy continues to inspire.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA) began their campaign with a visit to the Adem Jashari Memorial Complex in Prekaz. AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj described Prekaz as the foundation of Kosovo’s democracy and independence, pledging to honour the legacy of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom. NISMA leader Fatmir Limaj echoed these sentiments, stating that their coalition is committed to continuing the work of Kosovo’s fallen heroes.

With parties emphasizing unity, economic progress, and national pride, Kosovo prepares for a decisive election that could shape its future.
