Kosovo Minister of Communities and Returns Nenad Rasic said the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) is not a threat to the sovereignty of Kosovo because he expects it to be in line with the Kosovo Constitution and laws, the Pristina media reported.

I see no threat regarding Kosovo’s sovereignty because article two of the 2015 agreement stipulates that this agreement is to be in line with the Kosovo Constitution and laws, Rasic told Klan Kosova, adding that there is room for changes to the CSM model.

“I can understand (Kosovo Prime Minister Albin) Kurti for refusing to accept it in this form, but there are other forms and there’s room for proposals and changes. What I would change is that I would not call it a Community, but, for example, a group of municipalities,” said Rasic.

Under the legislation in force, the Community of Serb Municipalities cannot have executive powers, and from the technical point of view, the Community carries no weight, Kosovo Online quoted Rasic as saying.
