Kosovo Parliament adopts Srebrenica declaration

Deputy Speaker Bahrim Shabani told MPs that the declaration honoring the memory of the victims of the 1995 massacre in Srebrenica is intended as a gesture of support for the UN General Assembly resolution on an international day commemorating the genocide.

“Through this declaration Kosovo wants to strongly support the UN General Assembly assessment that criminal responsibility for genocide is individual and cannot be attributed to any ethnic or other group,” he said.

According to Shabani, the Kosovo Parliament highly appreciates the UN General Assembly resolution.
