Kosovo PM briefs Quint ambassadors on Brussels meetings

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti told Quint ambassadors and the head of the European Union office in Pristina that his government demonstrated a willingness to engage in a dialogue with Belgrade.

“Speaking about the meeting on August 18 in Brussels, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo has shown willingness and readiness to engage in a principled and well-prepared dialogue, towards an agreement centered on mutual recognition,” a press release said.

It added that Kurti presented a six chapter general framework for a future normalization of relations agreement with Serbia which would include mutual recognition and that they discussed the license plate agreement and the political situation in the region. According to the press release the meeting reiterated a commitment for cooperation and coordination between the Kosovo government, EU, US, Germany, the UK, France and Italy.
