Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz said on Thursday that she and Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with foreign ambassadors in Pristina to update them on the security situation following the armed incident in Banjska.

“Yesterday, together with PM Albin Kurti we hosted the ambassadors and diplomats accredited to the Republic of Kosovo. The primary focus of this crucial meeting was to address the recent terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police,” she wrote in an X post.

Gervalla Schwarz added that they presented Pristina’s official stand on “this heinous terrorist attack”. “We called upon the international community to strongly denounce the destabilizing actions of the Serbian state institutions and affiliates within the Republic of Kosovo,” she wrote.

She said that the government reiterated its “unwavering dedication to serving all citizens without distinction while safeguarding territorial integrity and national security”. “We underscored Kosova’s commitment to cooperation and coordinated efforts with our partners and allies. Kosova remains dedicated to serving as a force for lasting peace and stability in our region and beyond.
