Kosovo police deploy special units in Mitrovica following attack

The KoSSev news portal said that the special police units blocked off part of the city, searching several buildings.

It said that it was told by sources in the Region North Police that they had no information about the operation. The sources said that the units were most probably from Pristina. KoSSev said it contacted the Kosovo Police headquarters in Pristina and was told that it had not information about the deployment.

The attack on the patrol in the Zubin Potok area in northern Kosovo was the sixth attack on the police this month. The road from the village of Zupce where the attack took place was blocked by police.
