The Kosovo Police found a cache of small arms ammunition in the Banjska village, the KoSSev news portal reported on Friday.
The police patrol found a total of 698 rounds of ammunition assumed to have been left just outside the village following the armed incident between armed Kosovo Serbs and the police in September when a police sergeant and 3 Serbs were killed. The patrol found the ammunition after seeing one person moving on the side of the road.
Kosovo Police North deputy commander Veto Elsani said the ammunition and a Serbian flag were found by chance in an area not searched before. “This was probably left over from the conflict in Banjska. The police will do a more detailed search of the area,” Elsani said.
