The Kosovo Police were on Monday seen removing documents from the building in Leposavic, northern Kosovo, where Serbian institutions operated until late August.
“The police were removing evidence today,” said Kosovo Police Deputy Commander of Region North Veton Elshani.
KoSSev reported that officers were loading documents and other items into a small truck.
The building in question was shut down by Kosovo authorities in late August as part of a coordinated operation to close Serbian institutions in all four northern municipalities. The temporary Serbian authorities, which were housed in this building in Leposavic, were also closed.
Additionally, the building was home to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Treasury, which was also shut down in May this year.
Elshani could not confirm whether police were conducting any specific activities in the treasury room on Monday.
In the days immediately following the police operation, a sign was installed on the building indicating the presence of two Kosovo ministries—the Ministry of Communities and Returns and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development.
