The Kosovo Police arrested three men and seized 24 handguns at the Merdare border crossing, a police Facebook post said on Tuesday.

It said that the guns were seized from a Mercedes van with German license plates driven by a German national. The Kosovo Police did not specify the ethnicity of the three men identifying them only with their initials.

It said that the police searched their properties in Pec and Srbica.

The police specified that 24 Zoraki 9mm pistols were seized along with some cash and telephones.
