From November 22 to January 21, all vehicle owners with Serbian license plates in Kosovo cities who have not re-registered their vehicles will be fined, the Kosovo police confirmed, ahead of Monday’s talks in Brussels.

The Kosovo police announced that in accordance with operational plans, they are continuing police engagement in implementing the decision of the Kosovo Government regarding the re-registration, which was made on October 28, KoSSev reported.

the decision concerns the re-registration of vehicles from the marks "PR", "KM", "PZ", "GL", "UR", "PE", "DA" or "ĐA" to RKS registration marks, which is carried out through several phases.

The police recall that since November 1, owners of vehicles with what they say are "illegal plates" have been issued warnings, with instructions to contact the Vehicle Registration Center.

According to them, around 1,740 of these warnings have been issued to date.

The first phase of the application of the decision on re-registration, however, ends tomorrow, on November 21.
