Kosovo President to visit north

“I will be in the north very soon to visit the citizens. As for visits to municipalities, the will of the mayors has to exist,” she said.

Osmani called the residents of northern mainly-Serb municipalities “not to fall for Russian-Serbia propaganda” and to replace their “illegal license plates issued by Serbia” with Republic of Kosovo plates. “Replace those from Milosevic’s time and accept those issued by Kosovo institutions,” she said.

“Kosovo institutions have the goal of making all citizens equal, treating them equally under the law and securing a peaceful, safe and equal life,” Osmani said.

According to her, the residents of northern Kosovo “are being threatened by criminal parallel structure and gangs” every day. “Our police will be there to protect them, they are never there as a threat. We are here to protect all communities,” she said.
