The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina at the technical level will be held on Tuesday, September 17, in Brussels, Pristina’s chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi announced on social media platform X.
He rebutted a report by the Serbian Tanjug news agency, which previously claimed that Pristina had refused to meet directly with the Belgrade delegation in a trilateral meeting mediated by the European Union (EU).
“Kosovo has accepted a trilateral meeting according to the agenda set by the mediator. Unfortunately, Serbia rejected such meeting by trying to impose agenda items mainly intended for domestic political consumption,” Bislimi wrote in a post on X.
He called on the EU to contradict the pro-regime agency Tanjug, which reported that “Bislimi refused a trilateral meeting.”
“I invite the EU Special Representative (Miroslav) Lajcak to deny the intentional disinformation by Serbian media outlets below, which falsely states that Kosova rejected the trilateral meeting of chief negotiators,” wrote Bislimi.
Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic previously said that the dialogue was being prepared for next week.
The EU on Friday also refrained from discussing specific dates, only indicating that a meeting is in preparation.
