Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that he sent his remarks and criticism of the draft for the Association/Community of Serb-majority Municipalities (CSM) earlier accepted by the Kosovo Government to European Union (EU) Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.

Kurti said he cannot publicly disclose the content of these remarks and criticism because of the confidentiality of the draft, but said that it is more advanced and completely different from the previous agreements, KoSSev reported.

“We said that we agree to sign at least the basic agreement, the implementation annex, one from Ohrid, the other from Brussels, as well as this draft for which we previously sent comments, but since we were told in Brussels that normalization of relations is a matter of urgency, I agreed to sign it, in which case signing means acceptance, but only as part of the package, where we requested that Kosovo be granted candidate status and begin the path of admission to NATO. Due to confidentiality reasons, I cannot talk about my remarks and criticism, I conveyed them to the European envoy through my deputy Besnik Bislimi on October 24, two days before our meeting in Brussels. This is a completely different draft, it is more advanced, but that does not mean we are satisfied, so I also sent my remarks and criticism,” said Kurti.
