
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said that the resignations of three Kosovo Serb members of the Kosovo Police are a result of direct treats from Serbia.
“The resignation of police officers of the Serb community is a direct result of ongoing threats and intimidation from Serbia – an evidence that its policies continue to mirror Milosevic tactics,” Osmani posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
She added that Kosovo’s institutions “will continue to ensure inclusivity across all institutions and a safer Kosovo for all.”
The Kosovo media reported that three Kosovo Serb members of the Kosovo Police resigned from their posts.
Osmani told a press conference on Friday that, according to the latest information, seven Kosovo Serb members of the Kosovo Police have resigned.
She said that Kosovo institutions’ investigations over the past few weeks confirmed that the police officers are blackmailed and intimidated and that Serbia is responsible.
The Kosovo President asked the European Union to take measures against Serbia and President Aleksandar Vucic over the pressure exerted on the Kosovo Serb police officers.
