Kosovo Security Forces to join international missions under US command

The Kosovo Security Forces were invited to take part in Iowa National Guard missions and "deploy contingents in regional missions in support of stability and peace operations in the region of the US Central Command", the parliament decisions said.

There was no confirmation of the number of Kosovo Security Forces personnel to take part in those missions.

"All preparations have been completed in close cooperation with the American military authorities. This does not depend on our will but on the will of the countries where they will be deployed. We will be under the American Central Command which covers the Middle East and Southeast Africa," Kosovo Defense Minister Anton Quni said.
