Kosovo Serb journalists staged a protest at the Jarinje crossing between Kosovo and Serbia proper because a state TV (RTS) crew was held at that crossing for three days.
The KoSSev news portal said that some 20 journalists and media crew members gathered at the crossing in a show of support for the RTS crew. RTS journalist Svetlana Vukmirovic said that the Kosovo authorities gave no reason why the crew was not allowed to cross into Kosovo.
The protesters joined the RTS crew on the Serbia proper side of Jarinje. The protesters blocked the crossing for five minutes, carrying signs saying Let Journalists Do Their Job, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Media, Freedom of Movement. Cameras were laid on the ground in front of the crossing.
The Kosovo police told the protesters that they are waiting for a response from the Foreign Ministry in Pristina.
