Serb List leader Goran Rakic took over as Kosovo Minister for Communities and Return on Tuesday from fellow party member Dalibor Jevtic, a day after the new Kosovo government was sworn in.

A Serb List press release quoted Rakic as saying that the most important thing is that the ministry remains in the hands of the Belgrade-backed Kosovo Serb party “so that it can continue working on the return of displaced persons to their homes”.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s new cabinet won a majority vote in Parliament on Monday without the support of the Serb List which said that it would appeal to the Constitutional Court, claiming that it should get two ministerial posts.
