Maqedonci said the military-grade surveillance drones were delivered under a 2021 deal through the Foreign Military Sale program which facilitates the sale of US arms and military equipment.
“Puma drones alongside other drones are a necessary capacity to further build the abilities of the Kosovo Security Force in terms of unmanned air systems. Defense cooperation with the US is growing constantly with the military developing and our shared interests being achieved,” Maqedonci said in a Facebook post.
Caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti welcomed the delivery saying: “More eyes in the sky for more security on the ground”.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic accused Kosovo, Croatia and Albania of plotting against Serbia by signing a defense agreement earlier this year.
