Pristina said on Wednesday it secured two million anti-coronavirus vaccines, with the first shipment of Pfizer’s injections expected in February and planned to vaccinate 20,000 people daily, according to Prime Minister Avdulah Hoti, and Health Minister Armend Zemaj.
Hoti added that besides 535,000 Pfizer-BioNtech vaccines, some 600,000 doses would come from Austria and additional 720,000 based on the World Health Organisation COVAX programme.
The vaccination for 1.8 million people in Kosovo will be free of charge and voluntarily.
According to Hoti, the first to be vaccinated will be health system employees and people over 65.
