The students assembled outside the University of Kragujevac Rector’s Office and, after student speakers addressed the crowd, certificates of appreciation were handed out to professors who have publicly opposed online classes.
Before beginning their protest march, the group observed a 16-minute moment of silence in memory of the 16 victims of the November 1 canopy collapse at the Novi Sad main station.
A law student told N1 that the student movement should not lose momentum, as they are determined to keep fighting to achieve their demands and help build a better Serbia for everyone.

The protest march, which calls for a boycott of online teaching, is the students’ response to recent decisions, she said.
“Online classes go against everything we have stood for so far. They bypass the students who are actively protesting, those who are truly fighting for something that matters. There’s also a question of how legitimate this shift to online learning is at our university, given that accreditation issues have already been raised,” she explained.
She also voiced concerns over the proposed plan to make up for the entire academic year, arguing that it is unlikely to be implemented effectively.
