The Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that Moscow will closely monitor Serbia’s Platinum Wolf exercise with NATO member states, the TASS news agency reported.

„Speaking about the exercises, we will certainly be watching them very closely,“ he told a news conference, adding that „Belgrade is currently under unprecedented pressure to bring Serbia to the anti-Russian side“.

The Serbian defense ministry said on Wednesday that the Platinum Wolf joint military exercise with NATO member states would be held on June 16-30 despite a moratorium on international exercise with the ministry saying that the exercises which have been held in southern Serbia since 2014 are an exception.
