Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said even 30 weeks after the attack in Banjska, northern Kosovo, there is no indictment against Milan Radoicic who participated in it, reported KoSSev citing the Pristina-based Koha.

“We are entering the 30th week today, yet the state prosecutor’s office still hasn’t issued an indictment for the terrorist attack in which Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed, against Milan Radoicic, sanctioned by the US and United Kingdom, who has publicly acknowledged participation and authorship,” said Albin Kurti.

Armed clashes broke out between a group of Kosovo Serbs, led by former deputy leader of the Belgrade-backed Serb List Milan Radoicic, and the Kosovo Police on September 24, 2023 in the Banjska village in northern Kosovo. One Kosovo police officer and three Serbs were killed. Radoicic has accepted responsibility for the events in Banjska, denying any involvement of the Serbian authorities.

Commenting on Kosovo’s potential admission to the Council of Europe, Kurti said the situation is currently far more favorable.
He said he expects the Council of Europe (CoE) Parliamentary Assembly to approve the opinion or Parliamentary Assembly Rapporteur for Kosovo Dora Bakoyannis, who has recommended Kosovo’s membership in the CoE.
