Kurti: Belgrade, Pristina need to mend ties

“Serbia and Kosovo need to pursue a deal to mend ties before their allies become preoccupied with elections in the US and the European Union,” the Bloomberg agency quoted him as saying.

“There is this sense of urgency to implement the agreement and normalize relations between Kosovo and Serbia, centered on a mutual de-facto recognition, at the latest by spring next year,” Kurti said in the interview at the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia.
He said that he is prepared to organize fresh local elections in the Serb-majority municipalities in northern Kosovo in line with the agreement he reached with EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak in Bratislava.
