Commenting the Serbian Government’s decision to permit the free movement of vehicles with Kosovo-issued (RKS) license plates, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said the decision was passed in an attempt to deflect criticism from the international community following irregularities and fraud in the recent elections.

He added that both the government in Belgrade and the international community knew that “they were stealing” in the elections.

“They know very well that they stole, so does the international community. Now that they received these objections and have protests, they want to silence all that a little by recognizing our license plates,” said Kurti.

The Kosovo Prime Minister said Pristina will respond to the Serbian Government’s decision on the free movement of vehicles with RKS license plates “as soon as our border police documents and verifies that Serbia is fully and without hindrance implementing its decision.”
