Kurti demands opening of Serbian defense archives

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti demanded the opening of Serbian Defense Ministry archives on Wednesday, claiming that they include information on war crimes.

Kurti’s X post accused Serbia of concealing war crimes and blocking access to archives

“Serbia's continued concealment of war crimes from the 1998–99 Kosova war is a grave injustice. Blocking access to archives, especially those of the 37th Motorized Brigade, hinders efforts to uncover the full truth of Serbia's genocide in Kosova. Ten years ago today, the Serbian Ministry of Defense classified these documents until the year 2044, making it impossible to access crucial information on numerous massacres, enforced disappearances, and mass graves,” he claimed.

“We demand the opening of these archives — as agreed last year in Brussels — to honor the victims, to uphold human rights, and to bring the pursuit of justice to a successful conclusion.” Kurti’s post said.
