Prime Minister Albin Kurti claims that Greece could change its stand and recognize Kosovo.

Kurti told Poland’s TV P World that of the five European Union member states that have not recognized Kosovo, Greece is closest to changing its stand, the Pristina-based Reporteri.net portal said. He said that Pristina has achieved diplomatic progress, especially with Athens which, he claims, is close to recognizing Kosovo.

Kosovo’s desire to join the EU is not motivated only by its own interests but also because it wants to contribute to the EU as the most important political project for peace since World War 2, the portal quoted Kurti as saying.
