Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Friday that Kosovo has to deal with violent extremists who believe in the Serb world.

“Kosovo has to deal with the violent extremists, ultra-nationalists and right wing who believe in the Serb world and see it linked to the Russian world … they are people who admire (the late Yugoslav and Serbian President Slobodan) Milosevic and (Russian President Vladimir) Putin,” he told the European Croatia conference in Dubrovnik.

He said that Kosovo needs rule of law and a date for fresh elections, adding that the presence of special police units could be reduced if “violent extremists” stop their riots. “I think that is the way forward, together with an intensive dialogue to implement the agreement and we do have an agreement has to be implemented,” Kurti said.
