Kurti: Ohrid meeting to focus on implementation
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Tuesday that his meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic later this week should focus on the implementation of the European Union plan.
Commenting EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak’s statement to the Serbian state TV (RTS) that there will be no agreement if the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) is not formed, Kurti said that the CSM is low on the list of EU proposals.
“We know Serbia’s stand but I have to look at what we agreed on. We should discuss the implementation plan in Ohrid and maybe not only in Ohrid. I am an optimist but it is not up to me whether this will succeed or not. I offered to sign the European proposal but the other side was not ready and refused,” Kurti said.
