Kurti presents Kosovo security strategy to parliament

Prime Minister Albin Kurti told parliament on Monday that the Kosovo security strategy 2022-27 details risks, threats and security challenges.

He said the strategy will be the basis for plans and documents covering national and public security as well as defense and diplomacy and added that membership in NATO and the European Union are Pristina’s goals.

“We focused on security institutions, increased the budget for the Kosovo Security Force by 52 percent, setting a new standard in managing the armed forces and securty issues. He said that donations from Kosovars abroad are being added to the security fund and added that purchases fr the security force are being stepped up.

The Kosovo government also formed a working group to work on membershup in NATO in order to join Partnership for Peace and other international security mechanisms.
