Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti told a trio of European envoys that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue should result in a legally binding agreement which would include mutual recognition.

Kurti met in Pristina with European Union envoy Miroslav Lajcak and the envoys of the French President and German Chancellor Emanuel Bonne and Jens Ploetner.

A government press release said that Pristina has shown the will and readiness to engage in a principled and well-prepared dialogue. “Prime Minister Kurti reiterated that the goal of the dialogue, which should benefit the citizens of both countries, should be to reach a legally binding agreement with mutual recognition at its center,” the press release said.

It said that they discussed the need for stronger efforts by everyone involved to make the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans a reality.
