Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the Agreement on the path to normalization between Kosovo and Serbia reached in Brussels and the roadmap for its implementation agreed in Ohrid, Macedonia, are public documents that need to be implemented properly and fast.

“The implementation of the agreement that has already been agreed upon will be discussed on April 4 in Brussels. There is an agreement, it exists, it is clearly public and we need its proper and fast implementation. To this end a meeting of chief negotiators will be organized that will be attended by Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi,” Kurti said following a meeting organized in Pristina by the Council of Europe.

Explaining the term “urgent” used by the European Union (EU) in connection with the formation of the Association or Community of Serb Majority Municipalities, Prime Minister Kurti added that “the agreement must be implemented in full and cannot be implemented unilaterally.”

“The agreement must be implemented in full, there is no possibility of implementing some things and not others. Just as unilateral signing of the agreement or implementation annex is not possible, unilateral implementation of the agreement is also not an option. We should not undermine the agreement by taking only the parts that we want. The word ‘urgent’ is precisely used in a sentence that refers to the missing,” said Kurti.
