Citing diplomatic sources, FRE reports that EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar will be in Pristina on January 20.
The aim of their visit is preparations the next round of dialogue at the highest political level in Brussels, that is, for a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, said the sources.
Vucic and Kurti last met in Brussels in November 2022, amid tensions in north Kosovo.
Diplomatic sources in Brussels hinted that advisors to the French President and German Chancellor Emanuel Bonne and Jens Ploetner would also soon be visiting Belgrade and Pristina, but for now there is no information as to whether they will be joining Lajcak and Escobar.
