European Union envoy Miroslav Lajcak said on Friday that he expected the authorities in Pristina to show better understanding of the EU proposal to resolve the Kosovo issue.
“We expected better understanding of the possibilities our proposal offers. It was a long, not an easy meeting, but a frank discussion. It is too early for me to make dramatic statements, as we are going to Belgrade next,” Lajcak said after a meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Lajcak heads a group of European and American envoys – advisors to the German Chancellor and French President Jens Ploetner and Emmanuel Bonne, the Italian Prime Ministers diplomatic advisor Francesco Maria Talo and US envoy Gabriel Escobar.
