European Union Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak said on Tuesday that he had a productive meeting in Washington with his US counterpart Gabriel Escobar.
“Just arrived in USA. Had a very productive meeting with US special envoy Escobar, diving into some in-depth discussions,” Lajcak wrote in an X post.
He added that he is “looking forward to other enriching conversations”.
Lajcak’s meeting with Escobar comes a day after the State Department denied claims by the frontliner.uk that the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State was being dismissed as envoy for the Western Balkans.
