Lajcak, Kurti discuss de-escalation, agreements

Lajcak said in a Twitter post that they discussed the situation in north Kosovo and implementation of agreements. “At this year’s Symi Symposium, I had a useful discussion with Prime Minister Albin Kurti about the current situation in the north of Kosovo and the way forward towards de-escalation and implementation of all Dialogue agreements,” Lajcak wrote.

In a separate Twitter post, Kurti said he had a long conversation with the EU Special Representative on the sidelines of the symposium on the de-escalation of tensions and normalization of relations with Serbia. “We remain committed,” he added.

Kurti attended the Symi Symposium in Crete instead of the informal lunch in Tirana that Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama invited Western Balkans prime ministers to with European Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi as part of the Berlin Process.
