European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak said that European leaders took a geopolitical decision on Eastern Europe but that they fail to have the same strategic view on the Western Balkans.

Lajcak said in a Twitter post that this has generated deep disappointment in the region and that the European Union must regain leadership in that part of Europe.
